Owasys receives the TIC APPLIED 2006 prize in the first night of the telecommunications of Basque Country.

Owasys has taken part as a Collaborator in the first telecommunications night of Euskadi, organized by the Engineers' Official College of Telecommunications of the Basque Country and celebrated in the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao.

Owasys has taken part in as a collaborator and Telefónica gave Owasys the award to the best Applied TIC 2006 for the owasys22C, a mobile phone specially designed for blind and visually impaired people.

The objective of Owasys is to provide to the users with the easiest to use products in the market, completely adapted to the knowledge and technical capacity of the customers.

With this objective and given the non existence of other products at international level covering the needs of the blind population, Owasys developed and implemented a mobile for blind people,  the Owasys22C.

This project began at the end of 2002 with the collaboration of ONCE, and it obtained international recognition in the GSM World Congress in Cannes 2004.
