Owasys owa3x solution for transmitting data over TETRA networks approved by ITELAZPI.

Owasys owa3x platform has been approved on the ITELAZPI TETRA infrastructure.

ITELAZPI, S.A. is a public company of the Basque Government, which seeks to fulfil the following key tasks:

  • Provide transport services and broadcasting coverage to radio and television, particularly those channels pertaining to the Basque public service EiTB.
  • Manage public communication network infrastructures, offering hosting services to third parties.
  • Provide TETRA communication services to Basque government offices.
  • Extend the provision of broadband internet access to rural areas.
  • Provide communications consulting services to the public sector.

    Owa3x family is conceived as an open platform based on LINUX Operating System. This platform is completely programmable making it possible and easy to develop many different applications and allowing the implementation of wide range of communication protocols.

    Platform integrates cellular communication technologies, that can co-exist and provide redundancy for critical communications, as GSM-GPRS or UMTS-HSPA and TETRA, wireless technologies as WIFI, BT…, standard communication buses as RS232, RS485, CAN, K-LINE, ETHERNET…, GPS, general purpose I/Os to provide wide range of connectivity possibilities, etc.

    Approval of Owasys solution has been addressed by programming owa3x equipment so as to prove conformity by testing several possible data transmission cases on the ITELAZPI TETRA network.
